How to Maximize Your Profits in This Market…

I’m going to share a mindset trick that will help you trade more successfully.  It’s not a trading strategy, per se…

However, if you adopt what I am sharing with you today, you will be able to trade more successfully.

Simply put, you’ll be able to use the strategies you know to find more profits.

Whether you like it or not, and whether you want to admit it or not…

Trading is primarily a mental game.

What’s happening between the ears of the trader is often more important than what’s happening in the market.

To explain, let me share a story with you.

When I was about 8 years old my parents took me to Coney Island for the first time.  For those who didn’t grow up in NYC, Coney Island is a famous park/boardwalk with carnival rides, etc.

The world-famous Coney Island Cyclone is a wooden roller coaster built in 1927, and I was in line to get on when a sudden panic took hold of me.

I started asking to get out of line, then – as an 8-year-old will – I started crying because I was scared.

My father knelt down in line, took me gently by the shoulders, and said to me…

“Steve, you need to get control of yourself.  The way you feel right now seems like you’re scared, but you need to realize that scared and excited are both the same feeling.  The difference is whether you feel safe or whether you feel in danger. You don’t have anything to worry about, you’ll be perfectly safe.  So you can be excited instead of scared.”

He said, “Now decide to be excited and you’ll feel better.”

I smiled and tried to put in a brave face for my Pops, but inside I WAS scared.

Still, I started acting like I was excited, and in short order, I felt less scared and more excited.

Of course, by the time I rode the Cyclone once (and knew it was safe) I WAS excited about riding again.

Here’s my point, the price action in this market is like a roller coaster.  Up 800 points Friday, and now it’s down 325 points as I write this (well off the lows for the day)…

You can either be scared or you can be excited.  The difference is how confident you are about your positions.

In other words, do you feel that your account is safe, or do you feel like it’s in danger?

I want to make sure you feel safe and excited – and therefore you’ll end up more profitable

In Options360 I not only give you trade recommendations, but I also give you the rationale behind those recommendations.
